Asake

Ahmed Ololade Asake, professionally known as Asake, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and performer from Lagos. His sound blends Afrobeats, Yoruba musical influences, Fuji, amapiano and street-pop elements, giving him a distinctive style within contemporary Nigerian music.

Asake began releasing music around 2018 and gained wider attention through songs including “Lady” and “Mr. Money.” His breakthrough accelerated in 2022 after signing with YBNL Nation, followed by the release of Ololade Asake and his debut album Mr. Money with the Vibe.

His subsequent albums include Work of Art (2023) and Lungu Boy (2024). Lungu Boy featured collaborations with artists including Wizkid, Travis Scott, Stormzy and Central Cee, while continuing Asake's fusion of Yoruba-rooted sounds with contemporary Afrobeats and other global influences.

Asake has received two GRAMMY nominations, including nominations for “Amapiano” with Olamide at the 66th GRAMMY Awards and “MMS” with Wizkid at the 67th GRAMMY Awards.
